My love for DC Comics animation is dying.....

To be honest, I think the Skrulls are my all time most HATED characters in comics ever and for the very reasons of what they DID in the comics, not so much based on whether I think they're cool or not. I don't know; the entire Secrete Invasion thing that happened where they tried to make us feel for the damn things at times didn't work for me since...I still think they're jerks. But aside from that, let me tell you that shape-shifters and douplegangers are NOT a new thing in comics at all...its just that Marvel made it cool with the Skrulls. 8T

As for YJ in general....I just couldn't get into it even though I wanted to. I am a big fan of Teen Titans, both animated and the original comics, but I knew NOT to prepare for that when it came to this show since its an entirly different story. I was prepared for a more JL type of story-telling with action and a lot of interaction between the memebers of YJ but...I just didn't find that. It felt more like they were trying too hard to remind us why these kids are so cool which is something I HATE to see shows pull. Maybe I just didn't find any of the character interesting. I hated Superboy for being a hard-ass, Kid Flash was a little annoying, Ms Martian was...YEAH and I was pissed as fuck that Speedy said FUCK YOU to the entire thing the first episode. I really grew to like Speedy thanks to Teen Titans and the times he did show up in Justice Leauge so to see him just give the middle finger and walk off pissed was just a huge letdown to me. Granted, this was all to set up Artemis who I WANT to love but I always miss the episodes where she is a team player or a major figure. Serisouly, the only character I cared for in the show were Robin (of course), Aqua Lad and Artemis. Everyone else annoyed the living crap out of me for playing a bit too close to their tropes or just being plain uninteresting. Due to this, I had no idea what was going on and what was happening with season 2.

CN is shit when it comes to handling and announcing shows and even with the new DC nation block, they still don't annouce new episodes through the week like they SHOULD. Fuck, I didn't even know that Thundercats was still on since THEY DON'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT and that show is AWESOME. This once again proves that CN doesn't know jack shit about advertising it shows or how to gain viewership by actually reminding people that the shows they want to watch are on.

As far as DC nation goes in general....aside from the shorts, it just SUCKS. I know CN is competeing with Disney at this time since they have their Marvel block but I am more interested in the Marvel block on Disney than the DC shows because they're actually something that keeps me interested. When I heard that The Avengers was coming back on, I was hyped since I was worried that the show had been cancelled and you know that I am now watching Ultimate Spiderman, even with all the faults that it has. DC nation is just kinda weak considering that YJ is boring and the Green Lantern show....I watched the first three episodes as well as the ones past episode five and I think this show is just LAUGHABLE. GL is a show I want to get into since I like the Green Lantern but my GOD, the characters they have and the animation. The CG looks like its from 2007 and isn't anything that makes it any special than any other cheaply done CG toon and as far as the characters...I just can't get into them. That red-lantern guy they took in? I swear to god, every time he speaks I want to punch him in the face since he's the most dry, dull, uninteresting character ever. What the fuck is with these emo-depressed bad-guys? They aren't interesting, they sure as hell ain't HAWT, and I don't see repeating the same tired story of 'the woman I loved died' make them any more tragic. That's a backstory I've heard so many times I've gotten sick of it; Oh no. The woman I loved who will only be shown for three minuets in the show died and that caused me to turn evil at the drop of a hat. Boo-hoo. God, I'm sick of this shit. And why is it always the guy having to lose his girl? Is there any sort of female equivilant of this where the girl loses her guy and then takes a level of bad-ass? Seriously, this shit is boring.

And I'm sure that link goes to the new CG Batman series. Sigh, as much as I hate to say it....I'm getting kinda sick of Batman if only because he already dominates so much media ALREADY. It would be nice to see more of DC super-heroes have their own show or series or at least bring back a Justice Leauge type show where we have a chance to see EVERYONE.
